Tiokasin Ghosthorse, of the Cheyenne River Lakota indigenous people of Turtle Island (also called north America), speaks to Ashish Kothari and Shrishtee Bajpai about indigenous ‘intuitive intelligence’. This, he says, is uploaded from the earth (and not as instructions received ‘from above’!), and has enormous importance for resolving the multiple crises the planet faces, especially the alienation caused by ‘western’ worldviews. Includes a fascinating anecdote about Einstein acknowledging that indigenous Hopi kids would be the first to understand the theory of relativity, as they already lived it!
