See You Soon!

Hello Happy Dancer!

Hopefully we will be seeing you soon in beautiful Lava Hot Springs for a weekend of dancing, soaking, eating and the special community this makes for us. I know I say this all the time, but the dance community not only brings us all joy, but relies on each of us for its very creation.

There are lots of things we do where we are the audience – where we are mostly passive recipients of the event. Talks, workshops, church services and the like need us to come and support their efforts and learn. But in the dances each individual dancer is an equal creator of the music and energetic field. The exact mix of people who come to dance create the event each time. With the dances it totally matters that you are there sharing your feet, smile and voice. We are the circle, and we love to see you!

That being said it’s  12 days until Lava!!!!!! Yes, we still have room for you.

A big thanks to all beloved friends who wrote me personally letting me know you can’t come. We will miss you this time… and fall dates are already set for: November 13-15.

Food

I just spoke with Daphne, and Saturday night dinner is going to be spectacular. It will be vegetarian dish with coconut oil, cashew butter, cauliflower/vegetable mix and every type of dipping bread from gluten free to pitas. I can’t wait!

We are so lucky to have a local cook with such an amazing background in world cuisine. Does anyone have any garden produce yet to bring? Spinach?  If so, let me know.

Friday night will be our regular “Potluck Lite.” That means we love your contributions, but bringing something is not required. The Friday night theme is potato bar. We’ll have hot baked potatoes and sweet potatoes with toppings, including veggie chili and all the toppings and our typical huge salads. Your contributions happily accepted.

Leaders

Focusing the dancing this spring will be me (Connie Zareen), Narayan and Jennie Nuriya. Along with our group of fabulous local leaders it will be a beautiful experience. We have a number of new leaders arising in nearby communities and hope to see them more in the circle.

Roommates Needed

I have had several people asking about roommates. If you are looking for someone to share a motel room please reply back to this email, and I’ll compile everyone’s information and send out an email to each of you so you can arrange that.

Canyonlands
