Zareen and Wayne will be offering a multi-faith Zikr evening this coming Saturday. We will meet for an hour to see each other’s faces and sing along with some of our beloved songs.

To facilitate Covid friendly meetings this summer Zareen is working on an idea for Kirtan like offerings. The idea is to travel around to people’s homes and have small meetings indoors, and a few simple outside events. Sitting and singing will make smaller gatherings doable.

What is it that makes Kirtan so powerful and moving? Is it the harmonium? Is it the particular type of chant? Is it the sitting still so that we can get deeper? We will work with some of that energy this Saturday and find out for ourselves. We’ll share a few new Kirtan like songs and some of our beloved favorites from the dances of universal peace.
