Creativity is Blooming
Good day and happy sunshine (hopefully)
Creativity is starting to bloom for our Spring Lava retreat (May, 9, 10, 11).So I’m going to cram a bunch of exciting possibilities and happenings into this newsletter!
Dances Blooming
Dances are blossoming again in Jackson Hole – thanks to our fabulous friends in the high country. They have held a few very successful dances, new leaders are trying their hand, and old leaders returning and engaging. A big thanks to Lucinda and Chris Englund on that. We hope to be seeing many of those smiling faces in Lava Hot Springs soon.
Laughter is Bubbling
Laughing Anne has been at it again – and is now sparkling eastern Idaho with Embodying Joy workshops and travels. An entire group went to Thailand – and I think I just saw something about laughing in Hawaii. This Lava retreat falls on Mother’s day, and Anne and I are working up some ideas for a Sunday morning Great Mother Laugh and Love Fest.
Pass the word as we are going to be doing some local advertising for Sunday morning and hope to bring out the “Mom Love” in the area and attract a passel of local folks for the celebration. I’m very excited to see what happens when we unleash our Laughing Anne for some celebrations. (Oh my gosh… Narayan – I think I hear the bells of Beltane starting to ring!)
Food Love is Growing
It turns out that our Thailand laughing people are also great eaters and a super cook has arisen from the mist! Daphne Larsen has “volunteered” to not only cook a sampling of Thai food for Saturday night dinner – but to share her skills with the oriental flavors and offer a Thai Cooking Class. For only $20 extra (which you’ll pay directly to her) you will be taught Thai cooking skills and also receive all the recipes for Saturday evening’s dinner.
Daphne lives right in Pocatello, so she’ll be providing the food, coordinating all the learning activities, and then doing a bunch of the cleanup! Wow! I think she’s a dream come true.
Possibilities
A few other things have started to bloom from our creative community. We have an offering for an afternoon Kirtan, and for singing bowl healing. Please let us know if this all sounds interesting and wonderful to you.
Wilderness Dance Camp Children’s director
Do you love kids? Do you love dance? If so you may want to talk to Rahmana about an opening with Wilderness Dance Camp for a kids director. WDC is on June 22-28, 2014 – at Flathead Lake UMC, Rollins, Montana. Let us know if you are interested and we’ll help pass on your information.
