The Hamilton Dance Camp is led by the Montana Dances of Universal Peace team and more! Each dance is taught in place: we are given a short song\, easy steps and the meaning (or attunement) of what we are doing. Then we move! We do songs from a wide variety of sources: native Christianity Judaism or eastern Sufi practices. Often they are simple chants or inspiring poems. \n\n\n\nThe magic is the circle. Each person (you included) is what creates this magic. Humans evolved singing and celebrating in circle dance. As soon as you step into the circle you’ll know you are home. \n\n\n\nWhat’s it Like? Dancing with us is like joining a tribe. When we first come together we often don’t know each other’s names but become immediate brothers and sisters. The music brings us together. The camp is held by elder wisdom with experienced leaders who have been doing this for over thirty years. Often something new like this can be uncomfortable but we know how to bring you in with a smooth transition from aloneness to togetherness. There is an essence in every human being that yearns for togetherness. We use our feet simple music and ancient wisdom to create a moving space of heart. \n\n\n\nIt doesn’t matter what you wear… just as long as you are there! \n\n\n\n\nFrom Zareen: My goal for this camp is to provide an inexpensive space where we can all come together sing dance and dive deeper into new possibilities. We are intertwined with the traditions of the world and each other. Most importantly we use this time to recreate ourselves into co-creating relatives of the world rather than individual consumers. The overall vision is to come alive in new ways and jumpstart a dynamic participation in life that transforms the world… in other words: Sam Lewis’s Peace Project. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n— LOCALS COME FREE!\n\n\n\nUse coupon code: LOCAL \n\n\n\nDonation appreciated. But mostly … come dance. Your best bet is to come on Friday night and see what it’s about. Come on Friday evening between 6 and 7. Please be on time for the 7pm dance as attending the whole session gives you the full benefit.  \n\n\n\nWe appreciate when local people sign up using our online form as that makes our bookkeeping easy. So bring a little cash in your pocket to contribute. :) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArrival\n\n\n\nCome together: Dancers can start arriving at camp on Friday. First dance will be Friday evening and the last dance will be Sunday morning. Saturday afternoon we’ll have Kirtan\, discussion and a potluck! \n\n\n\nTent setup and decorating will start on Friday noonish. Let us know in the notes when you sign up. \n\n\n\nMusicians\n\n\n\nAs you arrive at camp please let us know about your musicianship! We coordinate acoustic musicians into our dance sessions. You’ll want to play with us! \n\n\n\nCamp Cost\n\n\n\nCost: $50 \n\n\n\nYes… the camp is very inexpensive. This is because we love what we do. This is not about making money but about coming together. plus we don’t have to pay for our tent location lodging/camping/food is on your own — and we need you! \n\n\n\nPartial Attendance?\n\n\n\nYou are welcome to attend partial days.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTravel\n\n\n\n\nWhere is Hamilton Montana?\n\n\n\nWe are dancing in Hamilton Montana in the Bitterroot Valley. There is room for camping on the farm and there are motels nearby in town to stay. \n\n\n\nFood and Lodging is not provided by your camp registration… but don’t worry. Everything you’ll need is nearby. \n\n\n\nFind the Dance\n\n\n\nEvening Dance\, and afternoon Kirtan\, will be in the tent at the Homestead Organics Farm. Bring your own chair. 175 Skalkaho Hwy. \n\n\n\nMorning Dance will be inside at the open-ended Expressive Arts Studio. It’s chilly this year and we want to be comfortable. 201 Daly Ave. Across from Daly Elementary School.  \n\n\n\nHomestead Organics Farm is located a few miles south of Hamilton Montana. Follow your GPS to the address\, 175 Skalkaho Hwy. Turn into the driveway and follow the signs. You’ll see our tent down the road. There is plenty of space to camp and happy people will help you get settled in.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLodging/Food\n\n\n\n\nWe are camping on the farm. There is lots of room for tent and car camping. Space for RVs is also available\, with no hookups. \n\n\n\nWe have lovely potable water available in one shared outdoor spigot. There is a shower in the farmhouse and porta potties outside near our camping area.  \n\n\n\nCars/Vans: We have lots of camping spots down near the tent area. Follow the signs. Lots of shade in the trees. \n\n\n\nTents: Plenty of spots along the side of the garden.  \n\n\n\nFood\n\n\n\nAll meals are do-it-yourself. There are restaurants in town and we’ll have plenty of room near the tent for camping kitchens. Good potable water available and organic veggies growing everywhere. \n\n\n\nWe’ll be having shared “Bring your own sack dinner” gatherings. Please do not bring food for others as that is hard to manage… but we can still eat together.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSchedule\n\n\n\n\nSCHEDULE\n\n\n\n* All evening dances will be in the tent on the farm.  \n\n\n\n* All morning dances will be in a lovely\, warm room at open-ended Expressive Arts Studio.  \n\n\n\n* Food gatherings will be “bring your own sack dinner”. SUMMARY:Two Retreats in Troncones Mexico
DESCRIPTION:There are two dance events on the west coast of Mexico again this year.  \n\n\n\nFull disclosure: These retreats in Troncones are managed and staffed by other leaders. Zareen and Wayne will be at these retreats and can help you with details. But Zareen is not on staff for either retreat\, and Wayne is registrar for only the second one. Zareen will be available for Nonduality talks through both of these retreats\, both privately and with groups. Check out Zareen’s new book to prepare. \n\n\n\nThere are actually three full retreats back to back in Mexico. After the two retreats in Troncones\, many of us fly over to the east coast to Puerto Morelos for another week camp. The Puerto Morelos camp has Zareen on staff for this year\, and Wayne as registrar and camp manager. So you can have three plus weeks in Mexico dancing if you attend all three. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRetreat #1\, January 25-31: All My Relations\,A multi-cultural/bilingual Dance retreat. This is an opportunity to participate in the dances with new leaders. This is a Dance Leader Training retreat that gives many leaders an opportunity to lead in a large circle and learn from senior mentor Darvesha and other mentors. You can join the circle and help the dances reach a new generation. This deepening retreat allows us to deepen into the practice\, guided by experienced mentors and certified leaders. DESCRIPTION:Singing A New World Into Existence\n\n\n\nDances of Universal Peace with Jen Friedman\, Connie Zareen Delaney and the community team.  \n\n\n\nPuerto Morelos\, MX\, south of Cancun.  \n\n\n\nRegistration is open. Our Camp will officially begin on the evening of Friday Feb. 12 and end on the evening of Thursday Feb. 18 with unofficial dances very likely the evening of Thursday Feb. 11th and the morning of Friday\, Feb. 19. So come early and stay late if you can! \n\n\n\nDescription: Each February\, we gather together on the Riviera Maya in Puerto Morelos\, Quintana Roo\, Mexico (20 miles south of the Cancun airport) for not just a Dances of Universal Peace retreat but also to experience all the Riviera Maya has to offer before\, during\, and after the retreat. We dance in the sand just a few yards from the beach\, protected by a sun shade in the morning and under stars at night.  \n\n\n\nLeaders: The main leaders are Jen Friedman and Connie Zareen Delaney. Both have years of experience creating a magical experience using the Dances of Universal Peace. They will be joined by a number of other special leaders who themselves are leaders in their own right.  \n\n\n\nCost: We try to keep this camp affordable to make it accessible to everyone.
